Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire Provide expert pharmacy services as a Staff Pharmacist in a dynamic setting focused on patient care and medication accuracy. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for candidates with a Pennsylvania pharmacist license looking to contribute to patient safety and medication management.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver proactive patient counseling and medication education via phone, addressing inquiries about new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper medication usage Collaborate effectively with prescribers and their offices to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that may delay medication dispensing Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions to ensure therapeutic appropriateness, identify drug interactions, contraindications, and confirm dosing accuracy Conduct pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions within a high-volume closed-door fulfillment environment, ensuring accuracy in drug selection, dosage, quantity, and labeling prior to dispensing Support pharmacy management by assisting in receiving, processing, and transferring prescriptions, owning the success of these transfers from start to finish
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current, clear, and active pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania 0-6 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy settings New graduates are welcome to apply and will be considered equally
