Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a 10-bed micro-hospital located in Pennsylvania. This role requires an interim staff pharmacist with inpatient experience to manage pharmacy operations and ensure compliance in a small hospital setting. The contract begins immediately with an ideal start date of September 21 and extends through June 30, with the possibility of extension.
Location:
Pennsylvania micro-hospital with an emergency department and inpatient beds.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, day shift On-call required; minimal likelihood of being called in
Required Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license Experience in inpatient pharmacy settings Ability to independently manage pharmacy operations as the sole pharmacist on site Familiarity with Cerner order entry system preferred Prior PIC experience or demonstrated leadership skills for auditing and restocking duties
Responsibilities:
Serve as the sole pharmacist and act as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) responsible for pharmacy operations, compliance, and safety Conduct audits, restock medications, and ensure appropriate inventory control Oversee regulatory and quality assurance requirements Engage with remote training and support from local PIC and Pharmacy Director Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to facilitate patient care within a micro-hospital environment
