Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role at a 160-bed community hospital located in Lebanon, PA, as a Travel Pharmacist. This opportunity offers you the chance to apply your pharmacy expertise in a fast-paced and rewarding hospital environment, supporting patient care with your critical skills.
Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety. Supervise and support pharmacy technicians for smooth operations. Consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize medication therapy. Manage pharmacokinetics and contribute to patient-specific dosing. Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems effectively in daily workflows.
Schedule:
40 hours per week. Shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Work every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania. Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems. Exposure to chemotherapy medication preparation and handling is a plus. Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration. This contract position is set to begin ASAP and extends for 13 weeks or more, offering an excellent chance to grow your skills in a supportive clinical setting.
