Job Description

PharmPro is seeking a Pharmacist for our client in Folcroft, PA. This is contract to full time hire. 40 hours a week. Hours are 10am to 6pm Must be a PA. Registered Pharmacist and in good standing
JOB DUTIES
Review and interpret physician orders to identify therapeutic incompatibilities and ensure safe medication use. Prepare and dispense medications through accurate compounding, packaging, and labeling. Monitor drug therapies and recommend appropriate clinical interventions when needed. Oversee pharmacy technicians by organizing workflow and verifying medication preparation, labeling, order entry, charges, and inspections. Provide pharmacological information to healthcare professionals and counsel patients on medication therapies. Train and develop pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, including requirements of the State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA. Maintain accurate controlled-substance records and ensure proper removal and disposal of expired, damaged, or outdated medications. Supervise support personnel and ensure adherence to pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Maintain current pharmacist registration and stay informed about new and evolving pharmacy legislation and regulatory requirements. Follow infection-control practices and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant pharmacy environment. Maintain current knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> requirements and ensure compliance with applicable standards. Maintain professional and pharmacological knowledge through continuing education, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
