Staff Pharmacist - Closed-to-the-public pharmacy Full-time / Rotating Saturdays /

No Sundays Summary:

To assist in planning, coordinating and managing pharmacy operations so as to control costs, meet and/or exceed goals, provide a pleasant, courteous experience for the patient and positive working conditions for workforce members. To make, mix and compound prescriptions for the patient and give consultations when requested.

Duties:

Reviews prescriptions, labels and delivers medications, and provides information and advice to patients Dispenses medications that doctors have prescribed Informs patients of potential side effects as part of monitoring patient drug regimen Ensures safe medication use, monitors patient history, and stays updated on advancements in medicine Ensures pharmacy standards are met Assists with managing an inventory control system Ensures that safe working conditions are maintained Sets an example of personal integrity, appearance and ethical business practices which provides a standard of conduct for all department personnel

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily Pharmacist in good standing, maintaining current state professional licensure Courtesy with patients and staff Familiarity with pharmacy-related software, in addition to any other software programs needed to manage a pharmacy efficiently

Education/Experience :

Successfully completed the coursework and graduated from an accredited school of pharmacy Certificates and/or

Licenses:

Licensed and in good standing with the state board of pharmacy as a registered pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania Must maintain the state licensure to practice pharmacy services in the state where the pharmacist works
