A specialty compounding pharmacy in Kennett Square, PA, is seeking a skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacist for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity. This role focuses on preparing compounded sterile and non-sterile medications with a strong emphasis on patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately compound sterile and non-sterile preparations following master formula worksheets. Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies for compounding. Ensure compliance with USP standards and all federal and state regulations related to compounding. Conduct aseptic techniques, and perform proper cleaning and garbing according to policy. Complete calculations and maintain thorough documentation. Operate and monitor production equipment, including computerized systems, ensuring quality standards. Prepare work areas meticulously before production. Perform quality control tests and inspections to verify potency, purity, and accuracy of compounded medications. Stay current with new compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license is required. Recent experience in pharmacy practice. Experience with sterile compounding is mandatory. New graduates with sterile compounding training are encouraged to apply.
