Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to support a large 500-bed hospital in York, PA. This contract role offers the chance to apply your inpatient pharmacy expertise within a dynamic clinical setting using cutting-edge technology such as EPIC and Pyxis.
Responsibilities include:
Order verification ensuring accuracy and patient safety Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient operations Consulting with physicians regarding medication therapies and regimen adjustments Applying pharmacokinetics principles to optimize drug dosing and patient outcomes The ideal candidate will hold a valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license and bring approximately two years of inpatient hospital experience. Flexibility with a variable days and afternoon schedule is essential to meet the hospital's needs. This is a 13+ week assignment with an ASAP start date, allowing you to make an immediate impact in patient care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license Minimum two years' inpatient experience in a hospital or clinical environment Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis medication management systems Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Ability to supervise and lead pharmacy technicians effectively
