This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care through medication counseling, clinical verification, and collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective medication use.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide proactive patient counseling and medication education by phone, addressing inquiries about new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper medication use. Collaborate with prescribers and their offices to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that may impact timely dispensing. Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions, assessing therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy. Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions, confirming accuracy in drug selection, dosage, quantity, and labeling before dispensing. Support the pharmacy management team in receiving, processing, and transferring patient prescriptions, managing transfer processes from start to finish.

Qualifications:

Active and clear pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania. 0-6 years of experience as a pharmacist, preferably in retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy settings. New graduates with licensure are encouraged to apply.
