Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire This opportunity is ideal for a Clinical Pharmacist eager to expand their expertise across multiple critical care settings including the Emergency Department (ED) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU). Unlike positions confined to a single unit, this role offers the chance to develop diverse clinical skills and actively contribute to an antibiotic stewardship team within a dynamic hospital environment.
Location:
Lewistown, PA (Relo available) - Nearby State College, home to Penn State University, offering a picturesque and vibrant community.
Position:
Unit-Based Clinical Pharmacist Responsibilities:
Perform medication order entry and verification, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness. Review medication profiles and provide clinical services tailored to the patient population. Deliver drug information and participate in multi-disciplinary team rounds aligned with practice area needs. Monitor drug therapy and manage pharmacist consults according to established protocols. Engage in acute patient scenarios, including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, trauma, and other emergency critical care situations.
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
Proven clinical pharmacist background with experience or strong interest in emergency and critical care settings. Proficiency in medication management and clinical decision-making. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment. Collaborative approach to patient care and teamwork in multi-disciplinary settings.
