In this role, you will oversee dry cask loading, handling, inspection, and documentation while ensuring strict adherence to NRC and industry regulations. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams, support licensing and audits, and drive continuous improvement in storage procedures. Responsibilities Oversee dry cask storage operations for spent nuclear fuel in compliance with NRC and industry regulations Develop, implement, and maintain procedures and documentation for safe dry cask loading, handling, and storage Coordinate with operations, engineering, and safety teams to schedule and execute cask campaigns Monitor storage system performance, conduct inspections, and manage corrective actions Lead or support safety analyses, risk assessments, and technical evaluations related to dry cask systems Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and technical specifications for casks and related equipment Prepare technical reports, regulatory submittals, and responses to audits or inspections Train plant staff on dry cask storage procedures and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards Required Skills Dry cask storage systems Nuclear plant operations NRC and regulatory compliance Radiation protection principles Nuclear safety analysis Technical writing and documentation Procedure development Project coordination Root cause and corrective action Quality assurance in nuclear industry
