Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced pharmacist to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure the highest standards of patient care and medication accuracy. This contract-to-hire position offers the opportunity to work in a specialized environment focused on customized pharmaceutical preparations. Responsibilities include overseeing fulfillment personnel and daily operations during your shift, participating in the shipping and handling of prescription orders when necessary, and ensuring all prescriptions are processed accurately per prescriber and patient requirements. You will ensure proper technique, precise preparation, thorough documentation, and legal compliance in dispensing all pharmaceutical products. Providing direct patient care is a critical aspect of this role. You will assess patient demographics, review and maintain detailed medication histories, and develop individualized patient care plans to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes. Patient education and counseling on drug therapy, including over-the-counter medications and nutritional supplements, are essential duties. Constant monitoring of drug therapy for appropriateness, dosage, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplication is required.

Qualifications:

Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license Minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience Strong understanding of pharmacy laws and compounding standards Ability to manage and supervise pharmacy operations effectively Excellent patient communication and counseling skills

Schedule:
