Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A reputable academic medical center is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a contract position lasting 3 to 6 months. This role is based in Norristown, PA, and requires full commitment to the contract duration. Candidates must be prepared to engage in a fast-paced, high acuity environment serving an underserved urban community.

Norristown, PA Schedule:

AM Shift (07:00 - 15:30) 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (40 hours total)

Responsibilities:

Review medication orders from physicians and extenders, ensuring correct drug, dose, route, and frequency Screen for potential clinical conflicts including allergies, interactions, and lab results before dispensing Provide drug information to healthcare team members Supervise pharmacy students and technicians to ensure accuracy and safety in medication preparation Participate in patient continuum of care and discharge planning Maintain inventory control in the pharmacy Follow medication safety and quality assurance protocols, especially in error and high dose situations Qualifications /

Desired Experience:

Active and good standing PA Pharmacist license mandatory Bachelor's degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred Minimum 1 year hospital experience or clinical APPE preferred Experience with EPIC Dispense Prep system required; familiarity with EPIC Camera Verification strongly preferred Sterile compounding and IV room experience required Basic Life Support certification preferred
