Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy operations with enthusiasm and a commitment to exceptional patient care. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily pharmacy activities, ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, and foster a team-oriented environment that prioritizes patient safety and service excellence. Responsibilities Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, to ensure efficient and compliant operations Oversee medication dispensing processes, including compounding medications and IV infusions, following aseptic techniques and USP 797 guidelines Ensure adherence to all state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Conduct patient assessments, provide medication counseling, immunizations, and support medication management plans tailored to diverse patient needs including pediatrics and acute care populations Maintain accurate inventory management, oversee pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, and ensure proper storage of medications in accordance with USP 797 and other standards Utilize pharmacy software systems (PIS), EMR/EHR systems, and pharmacy information systems to streamline operations and enhance patient care documentation Lead initiatives in clinical pharmacy services such as pain management, immunizations, and healthcare compliance programs while fostering a culture of continuous improvement Skills Critical care experience combined with hospital or LTC pharmacy experience to support complex medication therapies Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and drug regulation policies Proven ability to practice as a pharmacist with strong skills in patient service, client communication, and healthcare compliance Demonstrated expertise in managing pharmacy teams effectively within community or clinical settings Experience with compounding medications using aseptic techniques in accordance with USP 797 standards Familiarity with pharmacy operations including inventory management, drug regulation adherence, and pharmacy software systems Basic life support (BLS) certification along with immunization certification; experience with IV insertion and infusion techniques is highly desirable Join us as a Pharmacy Manager where your leadership will inspire excellence in pharmaceutical care!
