This is an on-site, direct hire role in the central Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. The employer name is confidential and will be shared with qualified candidates during the interview process. The pharmacist stepping into this seat will help shape workflow and standards as program volume scales. The environment is collaborative and team oriented, with pharmacists, technicians, and clinical support staff working side by side. Responsibilities Review, verify, and dispense prescription orders in a closed door pharmacy setting, ensuring accuracy and clinical appropriateness. Perform clinical review including drug utilization review, therapeutic duplication checks, dosing verification, and drug interaction screening. Support PBM program requirements including formulary application, prior authorization review, and benefit adjudication questions. Provide clinical consultation to patients, prescribers, and internal care teams as needed. Oversee and support pharmacy technicians, including workflow direction, quality checks, and training. Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, USP standards, HIPAA, and internal policies. Document interventions, clinical notes, and outcomes accurately within the pharmacy system. Partner with operations and program leadership on process improvement as the program grows. Qualifications Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania pharmacist license, or eligibility to license in Pennsylvania. PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited program. Strong clinical judgment paired with attention to detail in a production oriented environment. Ability to work on-site in the central Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Collaborative working style and comfort operating in a team oriented environment. Preferred Experience in closed door, mail order, specialty, long term care, or high volume dispensing pharmacy. Exposure to pharmacy benefit management, formulary management, or prior authorization workflows. Schedule and Location On-site, central Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Full time, direct hire. Compensation $100,000 to $140,000 annually, based on relevant experience.
