This role involves providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services during overnight hours, ensuring medication safety, regulatory compliance, and optimal patient care. As an Overnight Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in managing pharmacy operations, supporting patient safety, and maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical practice in a fast-paced environment. Overnight, 7 on / 7 off (Overnight, seven days on followed by seven days off.) Provide pharmacist oversight in a closed-door long-term care pharmacy, ensuring accurate prescriptions, effective medication fulfillment and responsive support to nursing facilities. Responsibilities Verify prescriptions and determine appropriate preparation requirements. Prepare sterile and nonsterile compounds. Supervise medication preparation, packaging, labeling and order processing. Support nursing staff with medication questions and advise prescribers on therapy. Maintain secure medication storage and complete records. Coordinate with pharmacy colleagues and facility contacts to resolve service issues. Meet production expectations while maintaining medication accuracy. Participate in quality improvement, staff education and utilization management. Provide assigned after-hours, weekend and holiday on-call coverage. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing. Proficiency in compounding and prescription verification. Long-term care or closed-door experience preferred. Strong communication, service and teamwork skills.
