Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A pharmacy professional is needed to support a dynamic healthcare organization with expertise in Part B drug and biologic prior authorization processes. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers remote work with a structured weekday schedule and a critical role in ensuring compliance with Medicare requirements and clinical policy standards. Responsibilities include reviewing Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals, applying clinical policies and utilization management criteria to authorization decisions, and providing support to both clinical and non-clinical internal teams on drug policies and workflows. The role also involves identifying process improvements to enhance review accuracy and operational quality while maintaining high productivity in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Adaptability to changing volumes and priorities is essential for success in this position.
Key qualifications for this role:
PharmD degree with active pharmacist licensure in at least one state. Minimum of 2 years of experience in utilization management, managed care residency, or relevant specialty pharmacy. Strong clinical judgment with the ability to independently assess complex Part B drug requests. Proven experience with Part B drug prior authorization and appeals review.
Schedule & Hours:
Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM EST Mandatory weekend and holiday rotation No days off except emergencies during the contract period from January 1, 2027, to March 31, 2027 This six-month contract spans from October 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, with potential for permanent placement.
