Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This remote pharmacist position offers the opportunity to apply specialized knowledge in Medicare Part B drug prior authorizations within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Remote (open to candidates licensed in any state)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM EST Mandatory weekend and holiday rotations Limited days off except emergencies from January 1, 2027, to March 31, 2027

Responsibilities:

Review Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals Apply clinical policies, utilization management criteria, and Medicare requirements to authorization decisions Support internal teams by addressing questions related to Part B drug policies and workflows Identify opportunities to enhance review quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency Adapt to evolving workflows and business requirements while maintaining consistency and productivity under changing priorities

Qualifications:

PharmD degree with active pharmacist licensure in at least one state Minimum 2 years of experience in utilization management, managed care residency, or relevant specialty pharmacy Proven ability to independently evaluate complex Part B drug requests with sound clinical judgment Experience in Part B drug prior authorization and/or appeals review strongly preferred Background in Medicare Part B, utilization management, or prior authorization is highly valued
