Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A remote pharmacist role is available on a contract-to-hire basis, focusing on Part B drug and biologic prior authorization reviews. This position requires applying clinical policies, utilization management criteria, and Medicare requirements to make authorization decisions while supporting internal teams with policy and workflow questions.
Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals Applying clinical policies and managing utilization criteria in authorization decisions Supporting clinical and non-clinical teams with Part B drug policy inquiries Identifying opportunities to improve review quality and operational processes Adapting quickly to evolving workflows and high-paced environments Maintaining consistent quality and productivity amid changing priorities and volumes Qualifications and experience sought: PharmD degree and active pharmacist licensure in at least one state At least 2 years of utilization management experience, managed care residency, or specialty pharmacy background Strong clinical judgment with the ability to evaluate complex Part B drug requests independently Experience with Part B drug prior authorization and appeals review Schedule and location details: Remote work Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM EST Mandatory weekend and holiday rotation from January 1, 2027, through March 31, 2027, with no days off unless due to emergency Contract duration: October 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027 (6-month contract) This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a challenging environment to utilize your expertise in clinical review within a dynamic, evolving healthcare setting.
