Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract A licensed Tennessee pharmacist is sought to serve as Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) for a mail-order pharmacy operating remotely with limited local presence. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide regulatory oversight and compliance support while working primarily from home within Tennessee. Quarterly on-site visits near Nashville are required.
Location:
Remote within Tennessee, with quarterly on-site inspections in the Nashville area
Schedule:
40 hours per week guaranteed (anticipated time commitment significantly less)
Contract Duration:
13+ weeks, starting ASAP (targeting by end of October)
Responsibilities:
Serve as the designated Tennessee Pharmacist In Charge supporting an out-of-state mail-order pharmacy license Complete initial licensing and renewal documentation required by the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy Perform quarterly compliance inspections and audits at a Nashville-area location Review portable oxygen patient accounts to ensure annual prescription renewals Verify proper storage of oxygen tanks and other compliance items through physical site inspections Confirm that hours of operation and required licenses are current and properly displayed Complete inspection checklists and report any follow-up needs Assist with other regulatory and compliance activities as requested
Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing Current Tennessee resident Minimum 3 years' pharmacy experience preferred; less experienced candidates may be considered Valid, unrestricted driver's license with ability to travel locally for inspections Comfortable with PIC responsibilities and regulatory compliance documentation This contract position is ideal for pharmacists seeking a predominantly remote role with guaranteed full-time compensation and a flexible workload focused on licensing and compliance. to contribute to a unique pharmacy operation while maintaining a flexible schedule.
