Work Shift Job Description Purpose:
The Clinical Specialists provides distributive and clinical pharmacy services to the inpatients and outpatients of the Medical University Hospitals and clinics.Requirements:

(Include physical and mental demands of the position-attach demands checklist if necessary: The position of Clinical Pharmacy Specialist requires a doctoral degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE Accredited School of Pharmacy. Completion of a clinical pharmacy residency program: Two years of clinical or hospital pharmacy experience may substitute for the clinical pharmacy residency program.LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS
(If applicable to position): SC Pharmacist License (or eligible for SC Pharmacist License) Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification:
Must be BLS Certified within three months of hire date and maintain certification throughout employment.Physical Requirements NOTE:
The following descriptions are applicable to this section: 1) Continuous- 6-8 hours per shift; 2) Frequent
- 2-6 hours per shift; 3) Infrequent
- 0-2 hours per shift Ability to perform job functions while standing.
- Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required.
Additional Job Description Minimum Training and Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of pharmacy residency program; two years of clinical or hospital pharmacy experience may substitute for the clinical pharmacy residency program. Eligibility for licensure as a Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
