Skills:

  • Acute pain management: Knowledge of pain management strategies for acute conditions
  • Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of human anatomy and its relevance to medication therapy
  • Pediatrics:
    Familiarity with pediatric pharmacotherapy and dosage adjustments
  • Acute care: Experience working in an acute care setting, such as a hospital or clinic
  • Hospital:
    Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and regulations
  • Physiology knowledge: Understanding of physiological processes and their impact on drug therapy
  • Utilization review: Ability to assess the appropriateness of medication use based on clinical guidelines and formulary restrictions
  • Medication administration: Proficiency in preparing and administering medications using various routes (e.g., oral, intravenous)
  • Medical management: Familiarity with medical management principles, including disease state management and treatment protocols
