Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge and provide overall oversight of pharmacy operations. Ensure the pharmacy operates in compliance with applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations. Oversee medication dispensing, prescription verification, and safe medication practices. Supervise and support pharmacy staff, including technicians and other pharmacy personnel. Maintain appropriate pharmacy records, documentation, policies, and procedures. Ensure proper storage, handling, security, and inventory management of medications. Support compliance with 340B program requirements and applicable pharmacy policies. Monitor medication inventory and help prevent shortages, waste, and discrepancies. Ensure appropriate quality-control and medication-safety procedures are followed. Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinic staff regarding medication-related matters. Provide counseling and education to patients when appropriate. Assist with pharmacy audits, inspections, compliance activities, and required documentation. Address operational issues and help maintain efficient pharmacy workflow. Ensure pharmacy staff follow established procedures and applicable regulatory requirements. Perform other pharmacy-related duties necessary to support the clinic and its patients.
Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted South Carolina Pharmacist License required. PharmD or other advanced pharmacy degree preferred. Previous experience working in a community, ambulatory care, clinic, or 340B pharmacy preferred. Previous Pharmacist-in-Charge or pharmacy leadership experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with 340B pharmacy operations is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians, clinic staff, pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians. Must be able to work onsite Monday-Friday during the scheduled hours.
