Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A healthcare facility in Sumter, SC is seeking a Per Diem inpatient hospital pharmacist to provide critical pharmacy services during a focused coverage period from September 26th through October 15th, with a required training week beginning September 21st. This role demands a pharmacist licensed and in good standing in South Carolina, with at least one year of inpatient hospital experience. Familiarity with Wellsky order entry and Omnicell automation is helpful but not mandatory, as full training will be provided. The inpatient behavioral (psychiatric) specialty setting and limited onsite pharmacy support require an independent, detail-oriented professional capable of confidently verifying orders, managing medication refills within Omnicell, and coordinating supply orders from Cardinal. Coverage schedule includes Monday through Friday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with on-call responsibilities after each shift. Weekend on-call duties will be performed remotely, answering questions and verifying orders as needed. Specific on-call and on-site dates are outlined with a mix of in-person shifts and on-call coverage. This role supports a 60-licensed bed facility with an average daily census typically around 30 patients.
