Company Overview Northwest Hills Pharmacy, LTC is a locally owned pharmacy dedicated to serving assisted living facilities in Austin, Texas. Our focus is on providing specialized medication management and comprehensive pharmaceutical services tailored to long-term care settings. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time and PRN Pharmacist to join our team, specializing in long-term care pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical pharmacy experience, including LTC pharmacy expertise, and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centered care. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to medication safety, regulatory compliance, and optimal patient outcomes within a dynamic healthcare environment. Duties Dispense medications accurately while ensuring adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations. Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized medication management plans. Provide clinical consultation on drug interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic alternatives for long-term care residents. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, pharmacy information systems, electronic medication administration record (emar) systems, and pharmaceutical regulatory policies. Looking for 3 days/week plus PRN availability Requirements Valid pharmacist license and registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmay Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings. Knowledge of pharmacy laws and drug regulation policies. Experience with clinical pharmacy practices including patient service and medication management Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and healthcare EMAR systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively while maintaining strict confidentiality policies.
