COMPOUNDING PHARMACIST - NONSTERILE PD
Labs is a nationally licensed nonsterile compounding pharmacy serving integrative and precision medicine providers nationwide. We are growing and looking for an experienced Compounding Pharmacist to join our team in Cedar Park. This pharmacist will be involved in daily pharmacy operations, prescription verification, formulation review, quality assurance, and oversight of the compounding team. The right person will be comfortable working directly with technicians, providers, and patients in a specialized pharmacy environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Compounding and Clinical Oversight Review compounded prescriptions for accuracy, safety, appropriateness, and completeness Review formulations, calculations, ingredient compatibility, stability information, and beyond-use dating Verify prescription orders in LifeFile Review compounding records and approve finished preparations before release Provide final verification of prescriptions, labels, packaging, and documentation Supervise nonsterile compounding activities performed by pharmacy technicians Provide pharmacist consultations to patients and prescribers Answer clinical and formulation questions related to compounded medications Communicate with providers when prescription clarification or additional information is needed Work with providers to support customized medication therapies Quality Assurance and Compliance Ensure compliance with USP , Texas State Board of Pharmacy requirements, applicable federal regulations, and PD Labs policies and procedures Review and maintain master formulation records, compounding records, and quality documentation Participate in quality investigations, corrective actions, and process improvements Monitor documentation practices and ensure records are complete and accurate Assist with equipment qualification, calibration, maintenance records, and required documentation Support regulatory inspections and licensing requirements Pharmacy Operations Work with technicians to manage daily production priorities and workflow Assist with technician training and competency assessments Provide direction and support when questions arise during the compounding process Review ingredient and supply needs and assist with inventory oversight Help identify opportunities to improve workflow, accuracy, and efficiency
REQUIREMENTS
Current Texas pharmacist license in good standing Nonsterile compounding experience preferred Working knowledge of USP and nonsterile compounding standards Experience reviewing compounded formulations, calculations, and documentation Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills Comfortable communicating with providers, patients, technicians, and staff Able to work independently while contributing to a team environment Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities Additional state pharmacist licenses are a plus
