Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Seeking a Pharmacist with strong clinical expertise to support a 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply and further develop your skills in a hospital setting with a focus on decentralized ICU experience. The position is contract-based, starting as soon as possible, and expected to last 13 weeks or more.
Location:
Kerrville, TX (Comfort area)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday day shifts Shift start times vary: 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM Coverage required every 4th weekend Potential future shift change to second shift (11:45 AM - 10:15 PM, 10-hour shifts) Flexibility in scheduling is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
Provide clinical pharmacy services in a hospital environment, with emphasis on critical care and ICU experience Participate in medication order verification and ensure appropriate drug therapy Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care Utilize hospital IT systems including Meditech, MedKeeper for IV management, and Omnicell automation Assist in medication inventory management and compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols
Qualifications:
Valid Texas pharmacist license Previous hospital pharmacy experience required Demonstrated ability to work in decentralized pharmacy settings, particularly ICU environments Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Comfortable adapting to varying shift schedules This contract opportunity offers a dynamic hospital environment where your clinical expertise will be highly valued.
