Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A community hospital in Nacogdoches, TX, is seeking a Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position, starting as soon as possible. This role offers the opportunity to work in a 150-bed facility, providing essential pharmacy services that support patient care within an inpatient setting.
Schedule:
8-hour shifts 8:00 AM to 4:30
PM Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance and safety Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses, providing expert pharmacy consultation Utilize hospital IT systems including Cerner and Omnicell to manage medication dispensing and records
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Texas Pharmacist license Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience Strong IV admixture skills and knowledge Ability to handle order verification and clinical consultation proficiently This contract role is well-suited for a pharmacist who is eager to contribute to a patient-focused environment within a mid-sized hospital.
