Duties Deliver comprehensive pharmacy services across diverse clinical environments, including medication dispensing, patient assessment, and medication therapy management Compound medications accurately following USP 797 standards and aseptic techniques for sterile preparations Manage pharmacy operations such as inventory control, drug regulation compliance, and medication administration workflows Provide clinical consultation on pain management, immunizations, and medical management plans to healthcare teams and patients Conduct patient care activities including medication reconciliation, patient education, and documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, HIPAA regulations, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance policies Assist with managing pharmacy teams by supporting pharmacy technicians and ensuring smooth workflow during shifts Experience Prior experience in critical care or acute care settings with a strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology Proven ability to practice as a licensed pharmacist with knowledge of pharmacy software systems and pharmacy information systems (PIS) Hands-on experience with compounding medications using aseptic techniques and managing IV infusions or IV insertions Familiarity with immunizations administration, pain management protocols, and healthcare compliance standards such as USP 797 guidelines Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers about medication therapy and client communication strategies Experience managing pharmacy operations including inventory management, drug regulation adherence, and practicing within HIPAA guidelines This role is ideal for a dedicated pharmacist eager to bring their diverse skills into a flexible PRN capacity while making a meaningful difference in patient care across multiple settings.
