Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a 120-bed community hospital seeking a clinically strong pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy services. This 13+ week contract is ideal for an experienced hospital pharmacist with solid clinical knowledge who enjoys working as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Candidates with ICU or decentralized clinical experience are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness. Provide clinical pharmacy support and medication recommendations to physicians and healthcare staff. Monitor medication therapy and assist with pharmacokinetic dosing. Supervise and support pharmacy technicians. Participate in interdisciplinary patient care activities. Prepare and verify IV medications as needed. Maintain compliance with hospital policies and medication safety standards. Utilize Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell to support daily pharmacy operations. Work Hours Full-time contract

13+ weeks Monday through Friday Day shifts beginning at 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM Every fourth weekend required Must be flexible, as the schedule may transition to 10-hour second shifts (11:45 AM - 10:15 PM) in the future Experience Active Texas Pharmacist license required. Recent hospital pharmacy experience required. Strong clinical pharmacy experience preferred. ICU or decentralized clinical experience is highly preferred. Experience with Meditech, MedKeeper, or Omnicell is a plus. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
