Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week+ contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist with strong clinical skills to support a 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX. This role requires a focus on decentralized clinical pharmacy services, ideally with ICU pharmacy experience.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday to Friday day shifts (start times vary between 7 am, 8 am, or 9 am) Coverage every 4th weekend Potential shift to second shift (11:45 am to 10:15 pm, 10-hour shifts) in the future Flexibility in scheduling is highly valued
Responsibilities:
Provide clinical pharmacy services within a hospital setting, emphasizing decentralized patient care Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes Utilize hospital pharmacy systems including Meditech, MedKeeper for IV preparation, and Omnicell dispensing technology Participate in medication reconciliation and ensure compliance with medication safety standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Texas Pharmacist license Previous hospital pharmacy experience, preferably with ICU or decentralized clinical exposure Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently Familiarity with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell systems is a plus Flexibility to adapt to potential schedule changes This contract assignment offers a valuable opportunity to impact patient care in a community hospital environment.
