EPIC Key Responsibilities:

Manage the medication process to promote pharmaceutical care, preventing and resolving drug-related problems. Confirm appropriateness of medication orders based on patient diagnosis, weight, allergies, and drug interactions. Accurately enter medication orders into the computer system, ensuring error-free processing. Dispense medications correctly and timely in compliance with established guidelines. Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control standards during sterile product preparation, supporting staff compliance as well.

Qualifications and Experience:

Licensed pharmacist with a valid Texas pharmacy license. ACPE IV Certification required. Minimum 2 years recent inpatient experience; pediatric inpatient experience preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated competency in aseptic technique with successful recertification results (90% or higher).
