Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
  • Receive and process prescription orders from customers, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
  • Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring patient confidentiality
  • Enter prescription and patient information into pharmacy computer systems
  • Coordinate with insurance companies for prior authorizations and claims processing
  • Prepare, label, and package medications for distribution
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment according to pharmacy regulations
  • Support pharmacists with administrative tasks and workflow improvements
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Previous experience in a retail or healthcare pharmacy setting is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software systems
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professional ethics
