Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Specialty Pharmacy Manager to lead our specialized pharmacy operations with enthusiasm and precision. Duties Lead and manage a multidisciplinary pharmacy team, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring optimal performance and professional growth Oversee clinical pharmacy services such as medication therapy management, patient assessments, and medical management programs tailored for complex conditions like oncology, immunology, or rare diseases Ensure adherence to all federal and state pharmacy laws, including HIPAA, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance Implement inventory management strategies to optimize medication stock levels, reduce waste, and ensure availability of critical specialty drugs Utilize Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR), and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document patient care activities accurately and efficiently Conduct patient care activities such as patient assessments, medication administration counseling Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies while communicating effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies Stay current on drug regulation changes, healthcare compliance policies, and new therapeutic guidelines to inform practice improvements Experience Proven experience in specialty pharmacy management or healthcare leadership roles with a focus on clinical pharmacy services Demonstrated expertise in managing pharmacy teams within LTC (Long-Term Care) or community pharmacy environments Experience with pharmacy software systems such as Pioneer Rx system, and inventory management tools Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology principles related to pediatrics and adult patients across diverse healthcare settings Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to pharmaceutical practice and patient care documentation Hands-on experience practicing as a licensed pharmacist and healthcare compliance regulations Ability to assess patient needs through comprehensive evaluations while managing multiple priorities effectively Join us if you're passionate about advancing specialty pharmacy services through innovative leadership!
