Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract This opportunity calls for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to manage pharmacy operations in a psychiatric facility with 128 licensed beds and an average daily census of 103. The role requires a Texas Pharmacist license and a proactive approach to overseeing staff and ensuring uninterrupted pharmaceutical services.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead pharmacy staffing and scheduling, coordinating 2 technicians and 3 PRN pharmacists. Provide weekend and on-call coverage as needed to fill coverage gaps. Utilize and learn the HCS order entry system for efficient medication processing. Maintain compliance with state regulations and facility policies. Support pharmacy operations focused on specialized psychiatric care.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Texas Pharmacist licensure is mandatory. Experience in managing pharmacy staff and scheduling. Familiarity with psychiatric pharmacy services is highly desirable. Ability to quickly learn and operate the HCS order entry system. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Schedule and Location:
Location:
Spring, TX.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Occasional weekend shifts from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM may be required. On-call duties to cover any staffing gaps are part of the role.
