Job Description

Category Pharmacy•Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract An immediate need exists for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to support a medical center in Chesapeake, VA. This 13-week contract role offers flexible shift options with evening and overnight schedules, allowing you to choose the hours that best fit your lifestyle.
Schedule Options:
Evening:
3:00 PM•11:30
PM Overnight:
8:30 PM•7:30 AM Monday through Thursday; 7:30 PM•7:30 AM Friday through Sunday (7 nights on, 7 nights off)
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and enter medication orders with precision Manage IV medications, pain-controlled analgesia, and antibiotics Monitor drug interactions and adjust treatments accordingly Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe pharmacotherapy Utilize
EPIC EMR
system for accurate patient charting
Required Qualifications:
Active and valid Virginia pharmacist license at time of application (firm requirement) Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience Proficient in
EPIC EMR
system (firm requirement) Experience with IV medications, pain control, antibiotics, order entry, and medication verification Travel pharmacy experience is preferred
Preferred Skills:
