Job Description
The Pharmacist ensures the overall integrity, safety, rationality, and effectiveness of the drug use control process for all patients in the assigned geographic or specialty area, including the following patient groups: Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics. Resolve drug therapy problems, clarify and correct problematic drug orders, designate pharmacy technicians to perform special assignments, counsel patients regarding the safe and proper use of their medications, and resolve equipment and operational problems. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A Additional position requirements: Must be available to work evenings, nights and weekends.
Hire:
Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy required or obtained within the first 90 days of employment Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy ExperienceREQUIRED

Minimum of one (1) year of pharmacy practice experience in a similar setting. Previous experience with state of the art drug distribution and clinical service methods and drug information sources and retrieval and communication methods. Education/trainingREQUIRED
