Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Greenacres, WA is seeking a knowledgeable pharmacist for a 9-week contract assignment starting August 3. This role offers a dynamic Monday through Friday schedule with day and evening shifts, plus possible weekend rotation. Candidates open to travel or temporary relocation are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal requirements. Monitor patient medication adherence and identify patterns of overuse. Maintain confidential patient and pharmacy records with precision. Provide expert counseling to patients regarding medication use, side effects, and drug interactions. Deliver patient education on proper use of medical devices and health management services such as smoking cessation and blood pressure monitoring. Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions in adherence to safety protocols. Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure smooth operations. Manage inventory of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. Collaborate with healthcare teams including physicians and nurses to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Washington State pharmacist license is required. Retail pharmacists are welcome; training will be provided for specific role duties. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. This contract role provides an excellent opportunity for pharmacists seeking hands-on experience with both patient care and supervisory responsibilities.
