The pharmacist distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and provides information to patients about medications and their use. It is non-retail and privately owned. At Ready Meds we are a closed door pharmacy where there will not be any face to face interactions with our patients.
Responsibilities and Duties :
Complies with all applicable organizational policies and procedures. Dispense medications as ordered by physicians and other authorized health care. Counsel patients and answer questions about prescription drugs, including questions regarding possible side effects or interactions among various drugs. Provide information about over-the-counter drugs and make recommendations after talking with the patient. Complete third-party insurance forms and other paperwork. Answers telephone and receives orders from referral sources. Performs over-the-counter sales functions with proper handling of cash register money. Provide patient education about durable medical equipment and home health care supplies Maintains open communication with clients and referral sources. Familiarity with QS1 and Docutrack would be preferable Familiarity with MTM Performs other duties as assigned. Is familiar with rules and regulations regarding the coverage of billed items In home vaccination while following infection control protocol
Qualifications :
Graduate from a college of pharmacy that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) with a current license in the state in which the Pharmacy is located. Computer knowledge of current software such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Reader Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Superior customer service skills Strong attention to details Strong organizational skills Strong mathematical skills Strong computer skills Strong typing and 10-key skills
Experience :
Excellent organization, communication, and customer relations skills
Physical Requirement :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear. Must be able to lift 50 lbs
