Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Nekoosa, WI is seeking a skilled inpatient pharmacist for a contract position lasting approximately 13 weeks. This role requires working predominantly day shifts, with the flexibility to support evening hours as needed.
Responsibilities include:
Managing inpatient pharmacy operations and medication dispensing Collaborating with medical staff in the emergency room to ensure timely pharmaceutical care Overseeing immunization protocols and administering vaccines as required Serving as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) during shifts to maintain compliance and safety standards Supporting clinical decision-making and patient care within the hospital inpatient setting
Schedule:
Four 10-hour day shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Rotating weekend coverage Potential evening shift support as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Pharmacist licensure with experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy Proficiency in emergency room pharmacy procedures and protocols Ability to administer immunizations and manage vaccination initiatives Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge is highly desirable Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team This contract opportunity is ideal for pharmacists looking to apply their expertise in a hospital inpatient setting with a well-defined schedule and a supportive environment.
