Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacist opportunity is available to provide essential coverage at a long-term care pharmacy site in the New Berlin, WI area. This contract assignment offers a focused two-week schedule with evening shifts running Monday through Friday, ideal for candidates ready to step in promptly and support patient care with expertise in medication management.
Location:
New Berlin, WI Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM Assignment dates: October 5 through October 16
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to legal standards Monitor and evaluate patient medication compliance and detect over-usage patterns Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files meticulously Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, drug interactions, and storage Provide patient services including smoking cessation guidance, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management Train and supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks Prepare sterile and compounded medications following established protocols Collaborate with healthcare providers to address drug-related problems for optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Wisconsin pharmacist license required (must have in hand) Experience in retail pharmacy accepted; training is available for retail pharmacists transitioning to long-term care Ability to work effectively with healthcare teams and patients in a clinical setting This contract offers an excellent chance to bring your pharmacy skills to a dedicated healthcare environment with the support to transition smoothly.
