Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to support a busy hospital setting starting April 22nd for a 13-week contract. This role involves working primarily four 10-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with rotating weekends and occasional evening shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inpatient medication distribution and ensure the accuracy and safety of all prescriptions. Collaborate closely with the emergency room team and hospital staff to optimize patient care. Serve as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) when required, overseeing pharmacy operations and compliance. Provide immunization services as needed. Contribute to medication therapy management and clinical decision-making within the hospital setting.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed pharmacist with inpatient hospital experience. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency room and inpatient environment. Experience as an immunizing pharmacist and knowledge of hospital pharmacy protocols. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to handle rotating shifts and occasional evening coverage.
