Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing expert pharmaceutical care, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Your expertise will support patient safety and optimal therapeutic outcomes across diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities Dispense prescription medications with precision, adhering to all legal and safety guidelines. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and modify medication plans, especially in critical care, oncology, pediatrics, and emergency settings. Manage pharmacy operations within hospital environments, including hospital pharmacy and pharmacy information systems (PIS). Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to drug regulation standards. Provide expert consultation on pharmacology, physiology, pharmacotherapeutics, and medical terminology to healthcare teams. Oversee IV infusion preparation, aseptic techniques, and IV compounding procedures while maintaining high standards of safety and sterility. Precept pharmacy residents and students, fostering professional growth and clinical excellence among future pharmacists. Support acute pain management, medication administration protocols, and emergency room pharmaceutical services. Utilize electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems for patient documentation and medication tracking. Requirements Valid pharmacist license in good standing with relevant licensing boards. Extensive hospital experience including hospital medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Level I Trauma Center experience, Level II trauma center experience, and practicing as a pharmacist in acute care settings. Demonstrated expertise in managed care principles, pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, and drug regulation standards. Proven clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on critical care, oncology, pediatrics, emergency room services, and pain management. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols. Experience with pharmacy information systems (PIS), EMR/EHR platforms, IV infusion techniques, aseptic procedures, and IV compounding. Ability to perform patient assessments effectively while providing exceptional patient service in fast-paced environments such as hospital pharmacies or emergency departments. Post-residency practice or advanced clinical pharmacy training preferred; additional experience in practicing as a pharmacist is highly valued. $62.84 - $75.67 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 per week
