EDUCATION

A Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates must demonstrate the ability and potential to engage in research and/or scholarly activity.

QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated expertise in pharmaceutical sciences, with specific expertise in medicinal chemistry. Ability to teach medicinal chemistry and related pharmaceutical science content within a professional pharmacy curriculum, including the application of chemical principles to drug action, structure-activity relationships, drug design, and pharmacotherapy. Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of educational and research teams. Ability to organize complex chemical, scientific, and professional content and develop instructional strategies that make the material accessible, understandable, and relevant to pharmacy practice. Prior teaching experience at the collegiate or professional-school level is preferred. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and to service within the School, University, profession, and broader community. Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and the ability to meaningfully integrate faith and learning into coursework and interactions with students. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, administrators, and other healthcare and scientific professionals. Proficiency with commonly used technology and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as electronic, internet-based, and other educational and professional resources.

POSITION DETAILS

The position is a full-time position, with a starting date of January 1, 2027.
