We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Pharmacy Manager to support the leadership and operational functions of our pharmacy team. This role involves overseeing daily pharmacy activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for improving patient outcomes within a dynamic healthcare environment. Assist in managing pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory control, and staff supervision. Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and safety standards such as HIPAA and aseptic techniques. Support patient service initiatives by conducting patient assessments, medication reviews, and providing immunizations. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medical management plans and ensure accurate medication administration. Oversee pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR) for prescription processing, documentation, and record keeping. Participate in compounding medications and IV infusion preparations following strict aseptic techniques. Manage inventory levels efficiently to prevent shortages or overstocking while maintaining compliance with safety protocols. Assist with training pharmacy technicians and staff on clinical procedures, pharmacy software, and patient care standards. Maintain knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pain management to support comprehensive patient care. Prior experience working in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated critical care experience with a focus on acute care environments. Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience is preferred. Proven background in patient service roles involving patient assessment and medication management. Experience with pharmacy software systems such as EMR/EHR platforms is essential. Familiarity with compounding medications, immunizations, IV insertion techniques, and aseptic procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pain management practices. Previous pharmacy technician experience is advantageous for understanding workflow dynamics.
