Restoration experience is a plus, but not required. We will train you!! Salary depends on experience. Salary range listed is for entry-level applicants. Position Overview We are looking for compassionate, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a restoration technician. The responsibilities of the restoration technician include assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved, cleaning damaged properties, removing and replacing damaged materials, and sanitizing the restored homes. To be successful as a restoration technician, you should have a keen understanding of safety gear and have excellent communication skills and social awareness. This position will require working indoors and outdoors in various settings; residential and commercial work sites. Physical effort is needed to endure working in extreme conditions, lifting and adjusting heavy objects, and working with materials that could potentially cause injury or illness. A typical work-week is eight (8) hour workdays, five (5) days per week with some weekend and on-call work as needed. Job Responsibilities Assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved. Cleaning and storing damaged contents until they can be returned to the home. Removing and replacing damaged materials, such as wallboards, lumbar, and carpets. Handling any issues caused by fire or water damage, including drying out the area and removing mold. Sanitizing structural features that can be saved. Communicating in-person with homeowners, explaining job specifications, and performing other customer service duties. Adhering to personal safety standards by wearing the appropriate protective gear and using the right equipment. Job Requirements High school graduate or equivalent. Valid Drivers' License and satisfactory driving record. Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem solving and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines. Ability to read and follow product label usage instructions. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching is required. Respirators, which are used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face. Ability to work Inside and Outside, such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
