Summary:

Promotes Meds to Beds program, serves as lead contact for patients and providers regarding prescription medication delivery services between assigned nursing unit areas and a designated outpatient / retail pharmacy. Originates and completes prescription orders to include computer order entry, third party billing/insurance verification, copay collection, maintaining accurate records, and delivery customer service excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

Formal Education Required:

Completion of basic high school course work in science and mathematics

Experience and Training Required:

Twelve months (12) Pharmacy Technician experience OR completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program National Pharmacy Technician Certification Licensed as a pharmacy technician by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy (License can be applied for, at time of offer acceptance but employee may not start working independently until issuance of license).
