Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV admixture procedures and compounding medications, ensuring accuracy and aseptic technique. Manage medication inventory levels through data entry and stock replenishment, maintaining proper storage conditions and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance. Support patient service activities by processing prescriptions, verifying patient information, and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with state and federal pharmacy laws. Utilize pharmacy software to accurately enter data, track medication orders, and update patient records efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering medication guidance, and supporting patients' needs with professionalism and care. Ensure adherence to hospital or community pharmacy protocols, including drug regulation standards and medical terminology usage. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following safety procedures for sterile IV infusion preparation and aseptic techniques. Qualifications Prior pharmacy technician experience or pharmacy clerk roles in LTC (Long-Term Care), hospital, or community settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation, medical terminology, and state healthcare regulations is essential. Experience with hospital or hospital pharmacy environments, including IV compounding and sterile IV admixture procedures. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is a plus; familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance is required. Strong data entry skills combined with excellent customer service abilities to support patient care initiatives. Ability to follow detailed instructions related to medication administration, pharmacological terminology, and aseptic techniques.
