Job Description

Job summary: The lab assistant is an active participant in daily operations, supporting sterile and non-sterile laboratory technicians in prescription, compounding and fulfillment activities.
Job Activities and Responsibilities:
Have knowledge of and adhere to all Standard of Operating Procedures (SOPs) Perform daily cleaning of laboratory, laboratory equipment and supplies Prepare and stock laboratory supplies and devices daily Manage compounding and pharmaceutical supply inventory Support quality assurance documentation of environmental monitoring and ancillary duties Perform compounding duties as required Assist in product packaging and prescription fulfillment as required Perform shipping and receiving duties as required Other duties, responsibilities and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Attention to detail to identify defective products Strong organizational skills Physical requirements: Ability to use a computer and computer-related equipment, printer/fax machine Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing. Lift to forty (40) pounds at times. 20/20 Vision (either aided or unaided) as required by CGMP regulations for visual inspection of finished drug products.
