3+ Years of Pharmacist Experience Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Retail Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team in Alturas, California . Under the direction of the Retail Pharmacy Manager, the Retail Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe and effective retail pharmacy services, including medication procurement, dispensing, storage, and oversight of pharmacy operations. The pharmacist will ensure pharmacy services comply with applicable federal and California state regulations , while providing excellent patient care and customer service. Key Responsibilities Compound and dispense prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals. Review prescriptions for accuracy and determine appropriate formulas and ingredients. Provide medication counseling to customers regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, storage, and other medication-related questions. Oversee and direct pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy personnel. Maintain appropriate pharmacist-to-technician and pharmacist-to-intern ratios according to applicable laws. Maintain procedures for quality assurance, controlled substances, medication security, and hazardous drug disposal . Enter and maintain accurate prescription, patient, billing, and inventory information. Resolve third-party prescription claim and rejection issues promptly. Report prescription and medication errors immediately and follow established medication incident procedures. Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation. Monitor inventory and help control pharmacy expenses and loss. Maintain strong working relationships with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy staff. Stay current with changes in pharmacy laws, regulations, medications, and industry practices through continuing education. Maintain pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with current requirements. Provide professional, respectful, and responsive customer service. Handle difficult or sensitive customer situations professionally and maintain confidentiality. Promote pharmacy programs and customer service initiatives. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and compliant pharmacy environment. Perform other duties as assigned, including technician-related duties when needed. Required Qualifications Active California Pharmacist License — Required 3+ years of Pharmacist experience — Required Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.

D. from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy Current BLS Certification — Required Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations Strong medication safety and quality assurance skills Excellent verbal and written communication Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacy staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to use Microsoft Office and pharmacy-related computer systems Driver's License (DL) copy required for submission
