Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract This opportunity is for an Interim Pharmacy Operations Manager based in Bakersfield, overseeing inpatient pharmacy services across two campuses with an average daily census of 120-150 patients. Reporting directly to the Director of Pharmacy, this leadership role is pivotal in ensuring smooth and efficient pharmacy operations within a healthcare system affiliated with a prominent health organization.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the right-hand to the Director of Pharmacy, assisting with operational oversight. Manage day-to-day pharmacy functions across both Downtown and Southwest campuses. Coordinate and manage employee scheduling to optimize pharmacy workforce coverage. Address and resolve operational issues promptly as they arise throughout the day. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards within the inpatient pharmacy setting. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and pharmacy services.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Proven experience in pharmacy management or operations within inpatient healthcare environments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate pharmacy staff. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle operational challenges efficiently. Familiarity with employee scheduling and workforce management in a healthcare setting. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with medical leadership and teams.
Location:
Bakersfield, CA Inpatient setting spanning two campuses. This is a contract position anticipated to last approximately 3 to 6 months, with flexible start dates available. Candidates open to starting soon and managing dynamic pharmacy operations in a complex healthcare environment will thrive in this role.
